I hadn’t seen Chris and his family for five years since their last visit. But oddly enough, that much time didn’t seem like it could’ve passed. It was like I saw him just last summer or something – except his kids had grown immensely and he shrunk in size at the same rate. That’s just how it is with best friends. No matter how little you see each other, you can pick up right where you left off. Chris and I were high school buddies. A long time ago, 23 years to be exact, our days began every morning with my father driving us to school and Chris, all 6 foot something of him, squished into the back seat of my father’s sports car. We had many adventures – most of them shouldn’t be revealed right now as my parent’s occasionally read this blog :-). But we had fun. Too much fun. And the fun continued when Chris went off to college and I’d go down to Florida and visit. And that’s when he met Jenny. And we too shared lots of laughs over the years and it’s hard to believe between us we have 6 kids. Whoah. Where did the time go?
We shot some pics down at the beach in front of my parent’s house. And this is one of my favorites.
Boys will be boys…
Apparently Chris thinks I’m pretty funny. Maybe that’s why I love him so much! The boys wanted to take home every shell/rock in the beach back to Alabama. Luckily I got photos, so they didn’t have to!
